The children have been studying patterns within their maths sessions, which linked nicely to the story that we have been enjoying. The children have loved listening to the Elmer stories. We decided to create some patterns using the animals from the stories. The children painted stripes and spots to resemble different jungle animals. We identified differences between a Leopard and a Cheetah and enjoyed painting the stripes on a Zebra.
