It has been wonderful to welcome all of our children back after the half-term break. This week, we have been learning about Bonfire Night and why this special celebration is remembered each year. The children have enjoyed sharing their own experiences of bonfires and fireworks, developing their speaking and listening skills along the way. Using drama activities, the children retold the story of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, helping them to understand the historical significance of the event. They have also created vibrant firework pictures using fluorescent paint and plenty of glitter, producing some truly spectacular artwork!
